Indeed, Lance Armstrong has decided to compete again in professional cycling. I generally favor athletes who demonstrate the will power to leave the sport while at the top of their game... and allow themselves to diversify on to other interests. In Armstrong's case, however, it's rather an unprecedented situation to better an unprecedented accomplishment... seven championship titles. Meanwhile, the Tour de France organizers can only be so elated to, once again, have his participation pepper the event with colorful if not controversial speculations and headline grabbing publicity. Next year's Le Tour... can therefore anticipate quite an audience.... and hopefully, one which will capture no less the cause to which Armstrong's announced attempt is being dedicated to... testicular cancer awareness...
