Health, Wellness...

The reason why "health and wellness" is the central theme of the initial thoughts I wish to convey and share... is because it does sit on top of my personal hierarchy of values.

First, allow me to share an approach I have chosen to adhere to. As human beings, the only real wealth we have is time. It's a treasure however, that once gone... it's gone. Regardless of one's origin, status and influence... it's the one life gift that can never be ever brought back. With that said, the preciousness of the time we have and yet to come... should then be mandated by the quality of our general well-being, of which physical health is a part we can never over-emphasize.

On the other hand, staying healthy shouldn't consume our consciousness to a point where ironically, the awareness itself becomes an unhealthy obsession. It becomes no different than how we tend to no sooner hyper-ventilate when we purposely think the process of how we breath. Moderation and balance in our diet and activities should be natural tendencies, the success of which should be measured by the degree of our humor and good-nature, for example.

One need not be a Buddhist to consider principles that make sense. I do not consider myself one, at least consciously... or not yet anyway. So, here are two suggested reads:
